Yu-Gi-Oh! (Japanese: 遊☆戯☆王, meaning "King of Games") is an international media franchise created by Kazuki Takahashi, which includes manga, animation, video games and a trading card game. It made its debut in manga form on September 30, 1996 in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. It focuses on a culture of gaming, and in particular the adventures of the main character Yugi Mutou.

The Duel Monsters sub-genre of Yu-Gi-Oh! has various monster battling elements, in which players battle using cards and use the powers of various monsters.
