Jump to navigationJump to searchShin Megami Tensei, also known as Megami Tensei in Japan, is a Japanese media franchise primarily developed by Atlus, and owned by Sega. The franchise was created by Kouji Okada, Ginichiro Suzuki, and Kazunari Suzuki and the first game in the series; Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei was released in 1987.
It was originally based on a novel series known as Digital Devil Story. It is a darker/more mature media franchise than many other franchises.
In relation to monster battling, Megami Tensei has featured recruitable demons and "Personas" which can help the player.
